We were very lucky with the weather today - mostly blue skies, but very blustery!

Well done to Linda Berriman for a stunning performance - 42 points in that wind is a very good result.

Lubo Matis won the 'Archie Sampson Trophy' for the best stableford score across the par 3 holes. Lubo scored 11 points. Well done!

The Yellow Ball Challenge was won by Team 3 - Lubo Matis, Robbie Burns, Nick Carter & Martin Whelan - with a score of 32 points, and they managed to keep the yellow ball until the end of the round.

Bert announced that the Society AGM would be held on Wednesday 18th January 2012 at Sidcup Recreation Club at 8.00 pm. We would like a good turn out, so please try to be there.

November 2011 - Poult Wood

It sounds like I missed a great day at Poult Wood on Tuesday. The weather held and there was a good turn out including 5 guests. Lubo Matis and Richard Linney won the A Division and B Division competitions respectively, and Brian Bendle won the guest prize.

That is two monthly competitions in a row for El Bandito Linney!

The A division points competition has been won by Mark Hopkins by 3 points, ahead of Lubo Matis in second place. The B Division points competition was won by Derek Howe,  with Richard Linney coming up on the rails to take second place.

Well done all, and I'm looking forward to seeing you all at the December Fun Day at Upchurch River Valley.

October 2011 - Kent & Surrey Golf & Country Club

Another great society golf day was held at Kent & Surrey today. We held a number of competions with the following winners:-

Mark Hopkins and Richard Linney won the A Division and B Division competitions respectively.

Jim Pullum won the 28 Handicap competition.

The B Division beat the A Division in the annual inter-division competition.

Well done to all todays winners.

September 2011 - Gillingham

It sounds like I missed a good day at Gillingham on Tuesday. Well done to Nick Carter and Steve Gould who won the A Division and B Division respectively with a score of 67. Well played both of you!

Nick Carter also won the putting competition with 30 putts - Again well done!

Lastly, Bob Evans beat Steve Gould in the final of the knock out competition. Well done Champ!
