We were fairly lucky with the weather on Tuesday at the Weald of Kent. Apart from a little drizzle on the first few holes we were lucky to stay rain free, and we even saw a couple of glimpses of sunshine!
Nick Carter took the honours for the A division with a score of 68, and Phil Swaine won the B division with a score of 69. Well done!
The second round draw for the knock-out competition took place with some high-profile grudge matches in the offing! The draw is as follows:-

April 2012 - High Elms
Another good society day was held on Tuesday at High Elms especially for those with 'Rob' in their first name.
Robbie Burns won the A division with a staggering 43 points - well done Robbie!
And Rob Moloney (Yeh!) won the B division with 37 points!
The down side to all this is that Robbie Burns gets cut 5 1/2 shots and I have to cut myself 2 1/2 shots (ouch that hurts!).
We are all looking forward to the next meeting at the Weald of Kent on the 8th May and don't forget that the first round of the knock out tournament must be played on, or before, the 8th May. See you all there.

March 2012 - West Malling
It was good to see everyone at West Malling at our first meeting of the year on Tuesday.
Welcome to our new Captain - John Kitchingham. We are all looking forward to a great year with John as our new Captain!
The A division competition was won by Mick Pressland with 64 shots - a great score Mick!
The B Division competition was won by Derek Howe, with 67 shots - another good score!
I must remind everyone that it was decided at the AGM to revert to our standand scoring formula for 2012, with the winner of each division being cut 2 shots plus, if you scored under your handicap, half the difference between your score and your handicap. Therfore this month Mick will be cut 5 shots and Derek 3 1/2 shots.
The Champion of Champions competition was also held at West Malling and this competition was won by Joolz Hembrough with 40 points - Well done Joolz!
The next meeting will be held at High Elms on Tuesday 10th April starting at 12.00 - see you there.
