October 2015 - Redlibbets Golf Club

It was a much greyer day today than is usual for Cressy Golf Society days, although thankfully the rain held off. Most people seemed to enjoy the course even though there were a few people who were not quite so impressed. I personally think that Redlibbets is one of the better courses that we play!

Glen McCauley won the A-Division with 37 points, and Les Hetherington won the B-Division with 34 points. Well done guys!

Neil Baker suggested that we mark the 30 years anniversary of Cressy Golf Society with a trip to Crayford Dogs in February next year. All the members present at today's meeting agreed that this was a good idea and showed their support for the event. Please put this in your diary for February and the actual date will be communicated in the next few weeks.

September 2015 - Poult Wood

We had another great day at Poult Wood yesterday. The course was in good condition and the bunkers actually had sand in them!

The winner of the A-Division was Phil Duce with a score of 66 and the winner of the B-Division was John Kitchingham with a score of 67. Well done guys!

Our yearly putting competition was won by Mick Pittaway with an excellent total of just 30 putts. Mick won on count back from Nick Carter who had an equally impressive score.

The 'Knock Out' competition was won by Frank O'Donnell who beat Les Hetherington in the final. Well done Frank and commiserations Les!

August 2015 - Cobtree Manor Park

It was great to see a good turn out today at Cobtree Manor Park, and by the scores it looks like most people played well. I have been busy this evening cutting handicaps for 9 out of the 28 golfers who played today - such fun!

Neil Baker won the A-Division with a brilliant score of 46 points (and Neil has been cut 7 shots!). The B-Division was won by Steve Gould with another good score of 42 points (and Steve has been cut 5 shots).

Personally I thought the course was in very good condition, particularly the greens, and the food was tasty too!

July 2015 - Upchurch River Valley

We had another great day today, and the rain held off, at Upchurch River Valley. The course was, in general, in very good condition with just the bunkers being not quite up to scratch! Upchurch laid on a 3 course meal which most people thought was superb.

Glen McCauley won the A-division with an impressive 67, and Dave Reid won the B-division with an equally impressive 71. Well done guys!

The final pairing for the knock-out competition was confirmed as: -

Frank O'Donnell v Les Hetherington

Good luck for the the final!
