STOP PRESS: Dave has now announced the date and details for the January Golf day and AGM:-

This will be held on Tuesday 14th January 2020 

at Southern Valley Golf Course. 

The first tee will be at 10:00 am.

Full English Breakfast at 9:00 am followed by 18 holes - £31

This will be followed by the AGM 

(note: There will be no meal after the golf)

Dave has already reserved 4 buggies

December 2019 - Xmas Fun Day - Upchurch River Valley

The season continued on Wednesday 11th December at Upchurch River Valley Golf Club. It was a generally dry day although the last 2 or 3 groups did get soaked. The day was excellent with a superb breakfast, 18 holes of golf, and a very tasty Xmas meal. Well done Upchurch River Valley Golf Club!

The Snowflake Cup was won by Michael Boyce for winning the overall 'Fun Day' with a score of 39 points, and the Archie Sampson Trophy for having the 'Best par 3 score' was won by Rob Moloney with a score of 12 points. Well done guys!

Dave, our Secretary, will be arranging the AGM and a golf competition for January, and the date and further details will be announced once the information is available.

Xmas Fun Day

As previously advised the December meeting - the Xmas Fun Day - is to be held on Wednesday 11th December 2019 at Upchurch River Valley Golf Club. 

Please note: This is a 7 club challenge so please make sure that you only have 7 clubs (including your putter) in your golf bag.

Please also note: The tee off time for this meeting is 10:00 hrs and Breakfast will be served from 9:00 hrs.

Additionally Upchurch River Valley Golf Club have advised the society that all Electric Caddy Carts MUST have Hedgehog Wheels. A decision on whether golf buggies will be available will be made by the golf club on the day.

November 2019 - High Elms

The season continued on Tuesday 12thNovember at High Elms Golf Club.

The A division was won by Ted O'Donnell with a score of 71, and the B division was won by Robbie Burns with a score of 81. Well done guys!

The A division was won by Frank O'Donnell with a score of 35 points, and the B division was won by Les Hetherington with a score of 33 points. Great scoring - Well done guys!

Sad News

It is with a sad heart that I have to report that our 

friend and past fellow Cressy Golf Society member 

Linda Berriman

sadly passed away last week.

RIP Linda

Linda's funeral is on Wednesday 9th October at 1.30 pm 

at Thamesview Crematorium, Gravesend Road, DA12 3JH,

and afterwards at Rochester and Cobham GC. 

No flowers and light coloured clothing to be worn please.

Cressy Golf Society is to make a donation to Linda's chosen charity, OVACOME, on behalf of the members. 

September 20019 - Poult Wood

The season continued on Tuesday 10th September at Poult Wood Golf Club.

The A division was won by Michael Boyce with a score of 64, and the B division was won by Derek Howe with a score of 70. Great scoring - Well done guys!

The yearly putting competition was won by Michael Boyce with 29 putts.

Congratulations to Tom Hastie for winning this year's knock-out competition and to Richard Butler for being runner-up!
